Episode #14
I really enjoyed putting this episode together. Being back on the road, there is a bit of pressure to get them done on time and I feel like I am really improving on the production side. Starting production back in October, I knew absolutely nothing about how to do this. Learning it as I go and getting more comfortable with each episode.
I really loved talking to my feature guest, Holly Bowling. We haven’t really met before and I was intrigued to hear how she goes about composing/interpreting/structuring what she does. It is truly fascinating and like me with the podcast, she is discovering as she goes. What really appealed to me was that her mindset and approach is more of a percussionists viewpoint than a pianist. For me, knowing her approach makes me like it even more. Jake Wolf is another fascinating character. He is a drummer, advocate, teacher and politician all rolled into one super nice guy. While the segment on the show is short, Jake and I talked for a long time and touched on all of these subjects. You can hear the full interview by becoming a Patron of the podcast.
